Acquired in 1992, the ancient textile plant, Lanificio Fratelli Ziglione, has become the main experience exhibition centre of the DocBi Centro Studi Biellesi, as well as the “container” for the Textile Industry's Documentation Centre (Centro di Documentazione dell’Industria Tessile), established in 1995. The Wheel Factory represents one of the most notable examples of local industrial archaeology, having kept the original features of the nineteenth century production systems which are still working today. This special ecomuseum cell will see the completion of the preparations for the “Museum of the industrial landscape” (Museo del paesaggio industriale) that will let people “read” and interpret the path of the “Wool Road”.
